Today is the Munchkin’s 28th birthday! What a journey that has been! The Munchkin has been a hard worker and has been raising the Muffin so well. We are so proud of her!!

Last night was C1 for Owen, first of a five days chemo round with an extremely high dosage of Temodar. Not sure if I’ve written about the “Super” pill that Owen took for anti-nausea but if I haven’t, it’s definitely a wonder drug. Owen mistakenly didn’t take it. He didn’t see where I left it for him to take.
And boy did we see what that pill can do just by seeing what happens when you don’t take it.
Owen took his chemo at 2000 and at 2300, he started the vomit marathon that didn’t end until 0400 this morning. Poor thing didn’t even have the strength to stand. It was absolutely horrible to witness. He finally fell asleep at about 0430 this morning. After a few hours of sleep I called the Oncology nurse about all of this. She had me on vomit watch. If he did it again I was going to take him into the ER for fluids. But he got up and went for a piece of bread (because morning is the worst time for him when it comes to nausea) and managed to keep it down. He was so exhausted he fell asleep on the couch again.
Owen’s medical oncologist, Dr. F called to check in and make sure things were good.
So tonight, we are bringing in the super pill and praying that he gets sleep tonight.
