Unless you work for the government, you may not really know what has happened since last November when the new administration entered office.
One of the executive orders that was published pertained to returning to in-office work.
Based on current regs and guidance, I don’t qualify for reasonable accommodation or an ability to telework to support Owen. This is scary when his seizure activity is unpredictable. I have tried to escalate a request for an exception to policy but I keep getting shut down. But I’m still trying.
Meanwhile, Owen still can’t drive. I have to use every hour I earn to get him to his appointments, his labs, his chemo sessions. I haven’t had any leave in awhile but I was a recipient of donated leave. This is the only thing covering me right now.
Today we got his labs done at BAMC. Seems like 100 people thought of doing the same thing ar the same time! We also got eye exams done. I found out today I’m officially old… I now need readers at +.75!!!
This weekend was quite crazy. Hill Country flooded and so many people perished. My heart goes out to all of the loved ones that are grieving now.
We were blessed with a visit from the Munchkin and the Muffin. Since it was nothing but rain, we took the Muffin to Doseum. She had fun!
