Today is the last day of chemo for the month. 16 months since the surgery.

I’m sitting in the lobby of the VA right now. Owen is in his appointment. We had two days of rain and it was happily received. Our crunchy grass and dusty trees look a little more alive this morning. Temps went down but they are projected to go back to summer San Antonio temps again starting today. I’m ready for fall!!!!!

Owen sent me a flier for Sarper Güven, one of the recent 90 day giance dudes from Turkey. His dream was to be a stand-up comedian and he has just announced shows including one in San Antonio. So, why not? I got us tickets. End of October. Looking forward to it!

Owen’s labs are looking good. He is a little anemic but the rest of his numbers look good. He has his next MRI next week.

His biggest struggles are all in his mental space. With several visits from family and good friends, I think he will be good through October.

I’m still pushing for an exception to policy to allow me to work from home on a few days a week. That would at least give him comfort that he isn’t alone.

The Powerball got to $1.8B this week and yesterday, two people woke up with new lives. One of the winning tickets was sold about 30 minutes from us.

Gotta get back to work after this. No winning lotto ticket this time!
