Owen pulled his stuff out yesterday for the trip. The man is ready! Has his clothes ready to go, and emptied the refrigerator. Why this is significant is that we don’t fly for another several days!

If you know me and trips, even international ones, I won’t get the itch to pack anything until the day before we fly. I don’t know what it is. I think what I’m more moved to do is figure out what I’m going to crochet on this trip. Japan has strict rules about scissors in the cabin and so I needed to find ones with blades smaller than an inch. Mission accomplished. Feeling like I’m proactive. 🤣

We are squeezing in a few days in my spirit city before we head to that tropical paradise in the Ryukus. Yay!

We saw Owen’s favorite neurosurgeon yesterday who gave him thumbs up for our travel plans. Today, we see Owen’s neurologist and get his labs done for his chemo appointment with oncology on Tuesday since Monday is a holiday.

This trip will be much shorter than the last. But I’m so grateful that we are doing this.

The mountain cedar has been kicking my bum for the last week. It’s so bad. And it’s humbling to think that dust particles can destroy a whole army of people without a shot fired 🤣

Post Super Bowl. Owen took the loss well. I thought the Pats defense shouldn’t be overlooked for preventing a touchdown for as long as they did. On to next season! Wouldn’t it be great if the Rams make it since Super Bowl will be held in their home?? 🫢

Time to get ready to start my last day of work before we leave.
