The trip to LA was so good. Owen said I drive differently in LA… like I’m comfortable. I told him that driving in San Antonio is driving in the Wild West where lines mean nothing. So yea, I was driving with ease and no fear.
Although the Dodgers lost all three games against the Red Sox, the games were amazing and fun. It was extremely hot but we had a great time.

Owen enjoyed the getaway and it was good to be back to my hometown.
Not long after our return, my command had a “Bring a Kid You Know To Work” Day and I brought the Muffin. You can see her sitting like she brings in the Ops Center. 🤭 Starting young.
I am sitting at the MD Anderson ROC (radiology outpatient center) at this very moment (Monday, 1724). These MRIs are much more intense than the ones that he received at BAMC. And the craziness is that we will have the MRI on our phones before we decide what we want to eat tonight. Very blessed that Owen is a patient here.
Tomorrow, we hope to get Owen’s miracle drug (anti-nausea). His nausea is making him dread living. He doesn’t want to eat, and all he is doing is just scrolling through countless videos about cancer. He says that if this is what it’s going to be like, he doesn’t want to be here.
Owen is eating horribly. He can’t eat much but when he does, it’s pizza. And then it makes him nauseated. He has an atrocious diet. I’ve tried to get over the counter anti nausea but he says it tastes nasty so then he just suffers. I won’t be surprised if his labs look horrible tomorrow morning.
Our friend from Japan came to visit and he has sat next to Owen doing what he has mastered these days… watching TV.
Stress is building up within me again.
I just want to breath without restriction. I don’t know why I was chosen for this path.
