So after a physically and mentally exhausting week getting Owen to a place where he could be discharged from the Neurosurgery ward, we came home to a flooded laundry room.

Can you see that pin hole water stream hitting the wall? Strong enough that it poked a hole through the wall and flooded the adjacent room. The water mitigation team ripped our wall out from between the garage and laundry room. They also pulled the flooring.

And since we have continuous flooring the output the entire first floor of the house, they will need to replace the whole floor.

This means they will need to pack us out. 80% of our stuff is on the first floor.

Reconstruction hasn’t started yet… we are waiting for insurance approval for the $38,000 estimate. Yes, you read that right.

God knows I’m strong but He’s gotta think I’m Hercules-strong.
