Because yesterday was Juneteenth, Owen got a break from radiation. He definitely feels the affects of the chemo as he deals with the fatigue. I am super grateful that his anti nausea meds seem to be keeping the sick feeling at bay. I know he has only just started this week but I also know when the meds come in a glass bottle and only contain five pills in each bottle, this is potent stuff. So mornings for Owen are a little slower as it does take him a little more to feel ready to start the day.

Yesterday was nice because we had a steady rain that came in around 1400. Our grass was rejoicing. The temps were cooler and with the pergola covered now, sitting outside was nice.

We go in for R3 today.

An update on the floor saga:

Despite my attempts to see if reconstruction could be delayed, they are winding up to start reconstructing the walls in the garage and in my laundry room tomorrow.

And then they want to start the flooring next week.

I told them we were not ok with being packed out. If we can’t postpone this project, then you are going to have to do the flooring a room or two at a time.

It’s really one of those things where I am grateful to be able to get new flooring on the entire first floor but I am dreading the pain of dealing with the installation for 2 weeks.

As I said before, I really wish for a fast, fast summer.
