Two and a half more weeks left of this round of radiation and chemo.

Owen is doing well but he is starting to get a bit stir crazy with his routine.

So Thursday Chaplain Dragon Lord, his wife, and his daughter made a surprise visit which lifted Owen’s spirits! Lily and Poppy absolutely loved our visitors, especially our reclusive Lily! She capitalized on belly rubs and conversation. Lily is our talker. It often gets to be too much for Owen 🤣. Dragon Lord and Owen have a special bonding. It was last October when we were part of a cornhole tourney where Dragon Lord and Mr. M, one team, and me and Owen, as another team, made it to the semi finals. We faced teams that chose to cheat. So while Mr. M and I decided to walk away, it was Owen and Dragon Lord who felt like cheaters needed to be called to the floor. They both have a strong competitive drive lol. The tourney wasn’t a full scale cornhole competition. And if had been, it would have been interesting because the final would have been me and Owen versus my boss and Dragon Lord. We will likely have to make that match happen soon.

It was a bad day for me yesterday. My allergies were untamable. I think the hard rain that we got kicked up all sortsa junk that I just couldn’t shield from. So my head was full of gunk, my eyes were swollen.

Owen was asked to obtain a letter from one of his doctors clearly stating a prognosis. We got the letter yesterday and it weighed heavy on me. It said while the doc remained optimistic, his estimate was 17 months. In my head, it’s the map of our new mission to climb Everest without ever learning how to climb.  In my my heart, I know we will tackle this. But my head is wearing me down right now.

Today, we are taking a drive up to New Braunfels. We are spending some time with D&B ☺️. This will be uplifting for us.
