Ten more R’s and 12 more C’s to go!

It was crazy at the house yesterday. We had folks tackling the floor in the craft room. Owen blasting Mexican music (he loves playing music for people in the house). A guy from Lowe’s was fixing our window coverings. A guy was outside covering some gaps where sun pokes thru in the pergola. All while I’m working upstairs.

Owen is motivated to make the house a better home for us.

I am mentally exhausted. I don’t feel like I get restful sleep. It amazes me how strong our minds are. I could literally sit here for an hour arguing with myself about doing whatever it is I need to do, lol. Can you imagine the greatness that I would accomplish if I had a switch to shut that off?!

Owen and I received a beautiful card from my Battle Buddy and his wonderful wife. I had completely forgotten how nice it is to receive a hand written note. I need to do that a lot more.

Owen’s sister continues to surprise him with things that bring a smile to his face. He got 30 pounds of Swedish Fish a couple of weeks ago. Ok, maybe not that much but oh boy does he love them red things. He got a mug and light blanket this week from her.

Today Owen saw his radiology oncologist Dr. D and then had a looooooooong appointment with his VA doctor, Dr. M. And while he was in that appointment, Owen’s medical oncologist (the chemo doc) Dr. F called me to check in on Owen. So if anyone is keeping track (and that would be me), his medical squad consists of five doctors.

I am happy that all of these doctors chase Owen and that it isn’t the other way around.
