It’s just been a rough cycle.
From missing the super pill, to injuring his kidney with the violent vomiting, to fever and rash, and the growing desire to sleep, it’s just been a really rough cycle.
We saw Dr. F. yesterday (medical oncologist). He said the chemo drug was too potent and that he is adjusting fire to a lower dosage for the next round.
The tiredness that he feels is extremely frustrating to him. He gets angry that his energy drops to nothing at around 1300 everyday. I can imagine it to be annoying that people, like me, continue to tell him, “It’s ok! Take a nap! Your body needs it!” when you want to go out and do something but physically can’t.
Since May, I think that Owen has wanted to spend more time with the people he loves and cares for. With that, when friends want to meet or come over, he wants to have that energy to be present. When his body is vetoing his desire to be out and about, it is just no good.
So, while we want so much to see the Munchkin and the Muffin, I think it’s best that he has a weekend to build some energy. We miss them but we need Ji-ji to get some energy back.
The temperature is cooling off. Mornings are nice (at 0500).
I am a little antsy that the Dodgers and the Padres play the last game of the series tonight. First time in Post Season history that two Japanese-born starting pitchers face off: Yamamoto and Darvish.
It’s one of those games I won’t want to watch.
