Update time.
Very busy month since the last entry! Let’s recap.
Owen has had his 3-month meetings and MRI review with Dr. B (neurosurgeon), Dr. F (chemo doc), Dr. M (PCM), and today he meets with Dr. D (radiation doc). His MRI was done a few weeks ago and it said that there was no evidence of regrowth of the cancer. Such wonderful news!! In our world, that news covers the next 2.5 months. Then we go into stress mode for the MRI. This rollercoaster of emotions has been our life for the last 9 months.
Owen has been doing so well. Dr. B cleared him to drive this week. That is great news for him, scary news for me. And it’s more about the crazy San Antonio drivers. I am convinced that half of the city would fail a driving test if they had to take one right now. It comes down to careless drivers here and their ability to force Owen to make rapid decisions. Owen has been great but his memory is degraded. So while I don’t have to be driving him everywhere, I will be with him to retain information for him. For this, I won’t ever feel comfortable with Owen driving on the highways. But back to Owen. He is doing great!
The Muffin turned 2 on 2/2! Can’t believe how quickly children grow. She loooooooves her Ji-ji!!! No one beats Ji-ji. Absolutely no one. You can even ask her mom, the Munchkin.
Despite a big event that my office was hosting from 2/3 in Downtown San Antonio, Owen and I shot ip to Houston to spend some time with them and go to the Muffin’s bday party.

And an update on me. I chopped 18 inches off my hair. Literally so much weight lifted from me!!!! Nope, I don’t miss it.
Strange time right now at work. We all received the “Fork in the Road” email from Elon’s team who took over OPM. I don’t even know what to feel or what to say about giving reorganization power to the employee by accepting what amounts to a severance package that would likely eliminate the position they sit in.
The Eagles beat down the Chiefs in what was an epic Super Bowl. We were part of the “world” against Kansas City. I just think that many people were tired of really bad calls in many of the Chiefs games this year.
We had one day of snow here in San Antonio. I loved seeing it. We also got a crazy cold front that dropped us down into the teens.

Today is Valentine’s Day and next week marks our 17 year anniversary, and 21 years together! It’s been quite the journey so far!!
Until the next update!
