Yea… I asked my work bestie yesterday if I could get excited for sweater weather yet and she gave it to me real. NOPE. Not when we were standing in 101 degree heat as we were talking. After arriving home at about 1700, temps dropped one degree. One.
Owen’s big project this past week was the garage. Yes, we did manage to fit the two cars in last year but was met with stacks of boxes and things.
He wanted us to be able to get into the garage, pull out a tub without moving things around.
So we went and got these neat shelving units that allowed you to slide five tubs in. Now I can access the bottom tub without pulling off the top four. Actually, we can now access 30 tubs in this manner now.
30 tubs?! Yes. Holiday decors takes space.
This week is a busy one. Today, the VA is sending out their occ health social worker to do a home visit. We also have to run to BAMC in the afternoon to get his testing done for his chemo appointment tomorrow.
And tomorrow, we have family coming in to spend several days with Owen. We will have a few days before another visit starts. And the M from Okinawa will be here for a few weeks.
Four visitors in the next month or so.
Owen is in the best mood around other people. So this will be a good stretch to the holidays.
Our new sofas arrived yesterday. They are super nice. Our previous leather set had been a Black Friday purchase back in 2014 and had been through a rough PCS to Japan. It was well loved.
