7. Joy in a Muffin

Kiyo, the Muffin, arrived early this morning… a little past midnight. She saw Ji-Ji-, her grandpa, sleeping on the couch and stood right in front of him until he opened his eyes. Kiyo absolutely adores her Ji-Ji-. He held his arms out. And in a second she raised hers so that he could lift her up.

The Muffin brings a joy that is so wonderful, I don’t have words to describe it. I think Owen and I, at one time, ran away from any thought of being called Grandma or Grandpa. Oh but now…. That is a badge of HONOR!!! Couldn’t be more happy being her grandparents!!!

Kiyo’s got the power to keep Ji-Ji- smiling and laughing this entire weekend!
